Let’s make coffee.

  1. 01

    Prepare the brewer

Grind 16 g of coffee medium and heat the brewing water to 96°C. Fit the plunger securely into the chamber and stand the brewer on the plunger, with the open chamber facing up. Rinse a filter and fit it in the cap.

  2. 02

    Add coffee and bloom

Add the coffee, then pour about 58 g of water to wet the grounds. Wait 20 seconds.

  3. 03

    Stir and fill

Stir gently, then add about 118 g more water to reach 176 g total.

  4. 04

    Steep

Leave the coffee to steep for a further 3 minutes 30 seconds.

  5. 05

    Secure the cap and turn

Fasten the filter cap securely. Holding the chamber and plunger together, carefully turn the brewer onto a sturdy cup without pulling the plunger out.

  6. 06

    Press and serve

Press gently and evenly, stopping at the hiss. Remove the brewer and serve.

Keep track of the total water

The app divides the 176 g of water into 33% and 67% pours. Rounded to whole grams, that is 58 g followed by 118 g. The timed waits exclude pouring, turning, and pressing.
