Let’s make coffee.

  1. 01

    Prepare

Rinse the filter with the valve open and discard the rinse water. Add medium-fine grounds.

  2. 02

    Pour with the valve open

Start the timer and pour 30 g over 10 seconds. At 0:40, pour slowly to 140 g total, finishing around 0:55.

  3. 03

    Close and steep

At 1:15, close the valve and pour to 240 g total. Leave it to steep.

  4. 04

    Release

At 2:30, open the valve. Let the coffee drain, aiming to remove the brewer around 4:00.

Keep the two stages separate

Note both the release time and the finishing time. That makes it easier to tell whether a change affected the steep or the drawdown.
