Let’s make coffee.

Measure cold water
Put one litre of fresh, cold water in the reservoir. Do not fill it with hot water.

Add the coffee
Fit the correct filter and add 60 g of medium-ground coffee, with a texture like coarse sand.

Check the batch setting
Position the basket and carafe correctly and select the appropriate setting for your model and batch size.

Brew
Switch on and let the machine complete its cycle. Wait for the basket to finish draining before serving.
Measure input and output separately
One litre here describes the water added, not a promise of one litre in the carafe. Save your batch size with the beans so a successful pot is easy to repeat.
